To that end, we endeavor to provide a high standard of service excellence wherever a tenant leases space or where an employee works. Some evidence exists that this approach is working; in our most recent surveys, tenants at 320 Bay Street, another Toronto property, recorded equally high and sometimes higher levels of service satisfaction than did tenants at BCE Place.

To help us maintain our commitment to service excellence, we decided in 1995 to apply for EPC Certificate under the ISO 9002 standards. We hired a registrar, trained internal auditors, formally documented procedures, developed a quality manual and educated our entire organization on the ISO 9002 process. This is a time-consuming but worthwhile process. In day-to-day practice, for example, it means having a formal com-plaint-handling system through which all employees have the responsibility for fixing problems (or referring them to their supervisor if required) and contributing to a resolution. This includes working with tenants and internal departments to conduct root-cause analysis and determine corrective action to ensure the problem does not recur. Such standards help insure that, even when staff changes occur, we do not waver from the mandate that we have embraced.

The second reason was, I was a vocalist of an indie rock band and my band used to be signed by Victory Records. The third reasons was, I was considered as the prodigal daughter who went back home to her family because I had to read my dead father’s last wishes. I really thought my dad hated and resented me for leaving our family’s legacy all behind for a dream to have a rock album, because knowing my dad when he was alive, the man was a total conformist. He hated rockers even back in the 1970′s, because he was a total preppy disco ball who turned to a real estate mogul in the early 1990′s by the time he reached his 35th birthday. But it turned out, all he wanted for me was to continue his life’s work when he dies and that is how I became president of a luxury homes company.

And he started to forget me. Whenever I saw him with that girl and doing those things for her, I felt something that I could not understand. I could not explain it. I felt like I was being jealous. Jealous of what? I didn’t know. I thought I was in love with him. But because of my stupidity, I made him fall for someone else. There’s nothing that I could do. I missed him

France Celebrates Revolution, UK Watches X-Factor

French property prices are famously fair; it is part of the constitution that everyone, no matter how poor, deserves a roof over their head.

Today is Bastille Day in France, when the republic celebrates the day it freed itself of the corrupt aristocracy and first united under the French battle cry of Liberty! Equality! Fraternity!

Of course the UK has never had the pleasure of living free from the tyranny of the ruling classes, but our neighbour the Republic of Ireland has had a go. While the Irish are proud of their separatism, the Euro has proved more than risky, the people are still divided by secular in-fighting, and just as here there seems to be no sign of joining together for the common good.

A French friend and real estate professional recently wondered why we, and our Irish cousins, have never had a revolution.

My answer was that we’ve been too busy fighting each other for a loaf of dry bread to go and take a slice of the rich man’s cake;

The French estate agent stated happily that we are obviously not hungry enough yet to start a revolution and that if we don’t eat from the rich man’s leftovers we will soon need to raid his larder. He also suggested that post-revolution, selling the mansions of the rich in a kind of people’s property auction could raise much-needed cash for important public services.

I could only counter that most poor UK citizens spend their time thinking about the X-factor and footballer’s sex lives, and are rarely hungry thanks to cheap fatty frozen food from Asda.

Oh, the French are so much cooler than us… even their estate agents are revolutionaries.

She Wants It Back

During the jacksonville foreclosure of Ophelia’s home she was mad at the bank for what they did. She knew that her payments were delayed but have told the person in-charge of her account about her situation. She even issued a post dated check to the bank to show them her good faith. The person in-charge promised her that everything would be alright only to see her house advertised for auction a week after. When she checked her checking account, the bank had already deposited the check. She brought this matter to the court and demanded that the bank return her house and pay her for damages. A lot of people were supporting Ophelia because they know how that particular bank treats their clients. A few days before the trial, the bank contacted Ophelia and asked is she would agree to a settlement. They would give back her house and lower the interest rate of her loan. Ophelia agreed and now she has her house back.
