My Afternoon Tea

Sunday, October 30th, 2011

When I eventually open my new venture, The Sugar Lounge, I will be focusing on Afternoon Tea. The menu is ready to go and starts with a luxury Afternoon tea consisting of finger sandwiches, homemade scones served with clotted cream and homemade jam. A selection of cakes including fruitcake, cupcakes and fairy cakes. A selection of pastries for example cinnamon swirls, danish pastries and croissants. I will also be serving old fashioned pop in quirky glasses with crushed ice, fruit wedges and straws. There will be speciality fruit cordials like elderflower, cranberry, pomegranate and pink grapefruit. I will be offering a pot of real Belgian chocolate couverture. Ideal for dipping, this is the chocolate I use in my chocolate fountain so for all the brides interested in reserving a chocolate fountain with me its the perfect place to call and try my wares. I look forward to seeing you all there.

My Neighborhood Now Has Some Lovely Mexican Culture Right Around the Corner

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

Friends have always told me about the lovely Mexican food they had when they visited America. It always made my mouth water just listening to them describe it. Tacos sounded great, and has always been something I have wanted to try for myself. I would often look at the foreign food section in my grocery store to see if I could find the items to make it myself, but at most, would find only tortilla chips and salsa. Very good for a snack, but not quite what tacos sounded like! There is a new mexican grill that opened up near me from what friends told me last night. I rushed online to look and found their website http://tortilla.co.uk and planned to go there for lunch today. I took a group of friends form work, and wow, the tacos I always wanted to try are fabulous! I think I am addicted already.

Bosch Tassimo Coffee Maker

Wednesday, August 10th, 2011

My friend will be celebrating her birthday in a few weeks and I have bought her a new individual coffee maker as a gift. She has recently moved in to a new home and she did say that she will have to buy a lot of kitchen items for her new home. I know that she loves to drink coffee so I thought that it would be a good idea to buy him a coffee maker which has impressive features. I have been using a Bosch Tassimo coffee maker for months and I really like its innovative features. I bought her the same brand of coffee brewer as I was sure that she will like using it as well. It is also something that she really will be able to use in her kitchen and this is the reason why I did not think twice about buying the Bosch Tassimo brewer.

Buying Quality Prosciutto Online

Tuesday, November 16th, 2010

Once you have found an Italian groceries supplier you like, you will never be without a good prosciutto di parma again. In fact, many like the taste so much that they order other products like parmigiano reggiano, high quality olive oil and vinegars or even a classic dessert like tiramisu. Tiramisu is another classic dish that most often contains coffee, coffee liquor, ladyfingers, mascarpone cheese and cocoa. The combination makes for a light and fluffy dessert that mixes the flavors of coffee and chocolate in a most astonishing way. Prosciutto di parma is excellent served in an antipasto dish that includes bread, some Italian cheeses and fabulous green and black olives. If you have an adventurous palate, try green olives spiced with garlic and red pepper flakes. Prosciutto is often wrapped around fruit as well. Some people prefer melon, figs and mango while others like to wrap it around a hard breadstick for a quick snack.
